With Stop Amhara Genocide, we have tirelessly raised the alarm to this Council about the ongoing Amhara genocide in Ethiopia.

Other NGOs, the UN Commission on Genocide Prevention, and experts mandated by this Council have also warned of the disturbing signs of genocide and stressed the need for decisive action.

However, to our dismay, the mandate of the experts has been terminated and the investigation has been abandoned.As a result, the situation has deteriorated to catastrophic proportions.

How can we expect justice when the perpetrators are entrusted to investigate, prosecute and judge their own crimes?
ምርመራው፣ ክሱና ፍርዱ፣ ወንጀሉን በፈጸሙት ወንጀለኞች እጅ ሆኖ እንዴት ነው አማራ ፍትህ የሚያገኘው?
In light of the ongoing conflict in the Amhara, which has witnessed over 100 reported drone attacks targeting civilians, churches and gatherings, as well as a prolonged state of emergency and escalating violence over the past eight months, How does the UNHRC rationalize its seeming selective focus and inaction compared to its prompt response during the Tigray conflict?”
በአማራ ክልል ከመቶ በላይ የሚሆኑ ሰው አልባ አውሮፕላኖች በሰላማዊ ሰዎች፣ በአብያተ ክርስቲያናት እና በመሰብሰቢያ ቦታዎች ላይ ያነጣጠሩ ጥቃቶች እየተካሄዱ ባሉበት ግጭት፣ እንዲሁም የተራዘመውን የአስቸኳይ ጊዜ አዋጅ እና ግፍ፣ ባለፉት ስምንት ወራት ውስጥ እየተባባሰ ከመምጣቱ አንጻር፣
This Council must take the necessary action to end the extermination of the Amhara or risk bearing the burden of guilt or complicity.
